Guest Rider Program

The Guest Rider Program provides a framework and guidelines for participating member transit agencies to exchange experienced, knowledgeable staff (operators and supervisors) who observe and provide feedback on individual operators and the system's performance. The rides are unannounced and the riders try to remain anonymous. WSTIP pays the expenses for the employee exchange. Participants agree to not use the feedback received in the Guest Ride for formal evaluation of any transit operator except in extreme safety-sensitive situations.
