SUMMARY

Most supervisors in the operations department come through the ranks as operators. The skill sets needed to be a supervisor require more than just an understanding of how to transport customers. It requires the ability to know when and how to apply technical skills. It requires taking all the information learned, evaluating and applying it in the context of making a decision. It requires the ability to think outside the current task to provide solutions to the challenge at hand.

  • The supervisor's role as a liaison between departments
  • Interpersonal skills

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Road supervisors.

WORKSHOP PRESENTER

Chris DeVoll is WSTIP's Transit Risk Consultant as well as a TSI Master Trainer. Chris has an extensive background in safety, training, operations, and system management.

REGISTRATION AND FEES

There is no charge to attend this class,but we do require you to register for an accurate count.

LOCATION AND SCHEDULE

The class will be held at Spokane Transit, 1230 West Boone Ave, Spokane. Class will be held in Room B on the south side of the facility.Participants must check in on the north side with the receptionist.
