| In Progress | Kathy Cook | Kathy Cook | | | Operations | What's the recommendation from WSTIP regarding the transporting of baby strollers onboard buses WITH the child still in the baby stroller? Over the years, BFT has always required the parent (guardian) to take the child out of the stroller once they get back to their bus seat. The reason being, the stroller can create an obstruction (in the isle way), but more importantly because of the added danger IF the operator has to suddenly & abruptly brake to avoid an accident the "weighted" stroller would fly forward. This policy is now under question, so I thought I'd run it by WSTIP's helpful ears. | In Progress | Jerry Spears | Jerry Spears | | | Safety & Security | Have you trained your roadsupervisors to be flaggers? if so, how did you train them? Even if you don't train your supervisors to be flaggers, what concerns would you have about doing so (liability concerns)? | In Progress | Brenda Barnett | Brenda Barnett | | | Human Resources | We are about to enter interest arbitration with Teamsters for the Twin Transit drivers. Does anyone have a recommendation for a private arbiter with experience in transit? | In Progress | Ernest Graichen | Ernest Graichen | | | Operations | | In Progress | Joanne Kerrigan | Joanne Kerrigan | | | Operations | This is a question from Ed Rutledge at Intercity Transit. Ed is the HR Director at IT. He wants to find out from other transits the following:
1. Are other members experiencing any ongoing Operator issues (WC Claims) with shoulder straps in Gillig vehicles?
2. Have any removed the shoulder strap from the operator cage?
Thanks,
ED
